  4. HR users requested more changes that was initially out of scope, that is being developed as we speak. COnfident that after these changes they’ll agree to go live.
    POPI is ready to go
    DIY portal is ready to go.

  5. Leave balances commenced 26 August 2016.
    Self service portal (in Drupal) now caters for both English & Afrikaans
    Leave application will commence shortly for Supervisor Hierarchy is almost complete

  6. Leave balances in testing and QA as phase 1 – awaiting feedback from business-user, bug fixing
    Self service portal and DIY service need to cater for multi languages – Afrikaans & English – still in progress
    Leave application process dependant on Supervisor hierarchy – due date of super hierarchy delay due to over commitment by business user on restructuring project

  7. Leave Automation
    We’re currently in a QA phase, ensuring everything is working as expected
    We also have a test environment at NWU where we want to test the Integration with HR, to ensure the leave transaction is created correctly once it’s been approved – we’ve done some testing on this, more on the workflow side, but not yet confirmed everything looks good on the HR side – Roald should be able to help us with that early January
    Currently the organizational structure to determine the responsible person for approvals are read from VSS, Dassie has requested that we change that to rather read from HR – this will be new development, but is not required for us to start a pilot or even go life
    We’ve also got approval on the name an links for the self service portal – and the whole design – we’re still fine tuning it as well, but are on track
    CAS Authentication are still outstanding – but i don’t see any issues getting it in place.
    Production Hardware is due to be ready in January – this is probably the only risk that i should high light

  8. The infrastructure for the self service portal and workflow architecture is in the procurement process (tender approval in process).

  9. Salary advises are distributed electronically to all NWU staff: implemented end October 2015.

    We are busy with the POC of a self service portal where leave balances and -applications can be viewed, applied for, and integrated into the HC system. This will also include workflow approval.
