A need exist at various departments for a list of line managers per organisation. Currently only the responsible person per organisation is known, but it is not necessarily the line manager of a person.
A line manager is needed for the conflict of interest form where the line manager must sign as well as the responsible person for that OU. With the leave application the line manager must also approve the application before it goes to the responsible person for that OU.
Not all organisations have line managers as well because of the number of people in the specific organisation.

Human Capital requested a limited electronic workflow process whereby student assistants can be appointed by completing electronic forms and the latter being sent to HC electronically to minimize the workload at HC in capturing of these student assistants. All validations must be done where possible to speed up the process. The request is broad, but it is proposed to manage this in phases.
At present, the risk of losing forms by posting them to HC using snail mail, is too big., For phase 1, the aim is to reduce the workload of HC staff regarding the capturing of Student Assistant applications and to optimise the validations on the forms. In the process resources will become available and the process will be optimized.
