Lecture capture: Pilot to production

Project Description

Request initiated by Adelle Lotter

The move from the pilot version to production version of the Lecture Capture system as a whole, entails both software and hardware upgrades. As with any system, we shall need more than one environment. Our wish is to, in future, use the current pilot environment for testing purposes, as the current pilot environment is a more accurate representation of the upcoming production environment than our current distributed testing environment.
At the moment we have a testing environment with VERY limited resources, and it is not an accurate representation of the to-be production environment, so any tests done on it will not be accurate enough to phase upgrades etc. into the production environment with a great deal of confidence. We therefore kindly ask to have the current pilot environment given to us after we move into production, to be able to create a sustainable environment for this system.
Our old testing environment can be taken back from us for re-purposing if need be.
